Division/Department: R.S.&S. - Courtland Utility Shop

Location: 3rd and Courtland Utility Shop [only]

Rate of pay: $12.94 - $18.73/ hour (after 108 months)

Primary Responsibilities:

- Must be proficient in the maintenance cleaning of SEPTA facilities, locations, bus loops, and equipment, in the operation of equipment and vehicles in the performance of related duties.

- Operates Authority vehicles in and around Authority locations. Scrapes and cleans floors, walls, floors, and all other areas which are part of SEPTA facilities.

- Reports problems and/or deficiencies associated with the daily routines.

- Sweeps, cleans and washes building surfaces by using solvents, non-alkali cleaning compounds and chemical compounds for cleaning. Removes dirt and graffiti at SEPTA loop facilities. Loads trash and scrap onto truck for removal and disposal.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Valid Pennsylvania CDL license or equivalent.

- Must have the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.

- Prior maintenance/janitorial and/or skilled trades work experience a plus.
