RATE OF PAY: $19.34 - $27.63/hour
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be proficient in the diagnosis, correction and repair of defects and malfunctions in various rail –mechanical, electrical, electronic, logic, pneumatic, hydraulic and air conditioning equipment.
• Provides technical support and direction in all phases of repair and troubleshooting for vehicles and equipment assigned.
• Conducts diagnostic tests as required.
• Inspects, removes, dissembles, cleans, repairs, reassembles, adjusts, lubricates and tests components and associated devices.
• Works from specifications, drawings, schematics, inspections, instructions, parts and repair manuals.
• Performs emergency duties as assigned.
• Directs activities of employees of lower classifications.
• Cleans and clears work area; Maintains safe work habits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or GED
* Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment and performance qualification tests as required.
* Must have 2 years related work experience.
* Must be proficient in working from and making mechanical, electrical, electronic, logic and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
* Subject to be on call during storms and emergencies.
* Must have valid Pennsylvania driver's license or equivalent.
