Operations Analyst- (New Vehicles)

Salary: minimal; $38,376, midpoint, $51,168, maximum, $61,412
In accordance with the Compensation Manual, all salary offers are based on the candidate's salary, the salary grade and range of the posted position and the salaries of peers, supervisors and/or subordinates of the posted position.


Overall responsibility:
Responsible for assisting the New Vehicle management staff with program/project support consisting of various administrative and technical duties including financial, statistical, and/or data reporting activities that are considered to be of basic complexity in size and scope.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Develop and prepare statistical/analytical reports and estimates as required.
• Provide management with financial and other reports that will establish and track efficiency of project operations and provide basis for management decisions.
• Prepare detail project schedules, cost breakdowns, estimates and reports.
• Monitor project schedules, expenditures and interface with various departments to control actual costs within the allocated budget.
• Coordinate capital project or operating related activities providing periodic information and progress reports. Monitor all incoming and outgoing correspondence related to bus procurement projects using Access database. Update Project log book by monitoring subject correspondence to completion.
• Review project documents (Vehicle specifications, contract documents and addendums) for grammatical, technical accuracy and assemble for distribution outside of the organization.
• Process, organize and distribute mail/catalogue/manuals and electronic files (Adobe PDF) for the various bus procurement projects.
• Provide statistical and analytical support directly to Senior Staff in an Operations division as required.
• Coordinate collection of data and preparation of reports such as maintenance performance, fleet status and statistical records of performance data.
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical discipline req’d. Some previous knowledge of vehicular applications and financial or statistical analytical analysis work experience preferred.

OR

An equivalent combination of education/experience (two years of experience equates to one year post high school education) may be considered in lieu of above.
Strong personal computer skills req’d.
Must be proficient in MS software applications including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project. You must pass a test in Excel and Access at the intermediate level of proficiency.
Able to prepare reports and maintain written and computer based records req’d.
Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels and a strong work ethic.
